I also tried the Zeb at 170mm and didn't like it so much. Raised the BB and lifted the front end and unsettled the balance.

I just checked out the specs and noticed that although Trek list a 170mm as compatible, they also say that the axle to crown limit is 580mm. The Zeb at 170mm has a 586mm axle to crown, so actually falls outside of Treks recommendation. Just an FYI.

Possibly why @Doomanic feels good with the 170mm and others on a Zeb not so good (His Yari is 5mm lower at the axle to crown).

I’m running 180mm smash pot and push AC97. 27.5” in the rear with 165mm DHX2 shock. In high position. I love it for PNW downhill knar. It’s made for the hardest downhill trails and tears them up.

Hello, I've had my zebs put up to 170mm, they were in for a service and I thought an extra £40 wasn't too much, and honestly can't tell the difference, there is a certain amount of static sag on the forks, about 13mm on mine, I do run my forks a bit softer than reccomended tho, so I think it would be hard to notice the difference unless running higher air pressure.
