I have a 2022 Reign E+2, about 3,000km without issues. Prior to this one I had the 2020 Giant Trance E+2 also without issues. I think Radon are not available in North America, specs look good though. From what I read, the Bosch motor is probably a bit more punchy than Yamaha (Giant) for...
LBS is a dedicated Giant shop, not the largest but significant in sales nevertheless... They were early adopters of e-bike tech (+/- 8 years) they claimed to have swapped one yamaha motor so far.
This is my second Giant e-mtb without issues. I'm not in the UK so water isn't as much an issue here.
Giant Reign E+… 2022, 2023 & 2024 models are essentially the same bikes. Subtle exceptions are on components and battery that went from 625Wh to 800Wh, everything else pretty much unchanged (frame, geometry, motor…)
Great bike! 👍
Interesting thread, I’m in a similar situation, riding full fat emtb now and loving it, yet I tested the Trance Elite and really liked the weight difference and adjustable torque motor…
The new Heckler SL seems to check all the boxes as well, definitely need to have the Range Extender which is...
Welcome to the forums & congratulations on the new ride. You will so LOVE this... It will not only make you fitter, it will clear your brain of everything else. Do as often as possible! Enjoy! 😎
Sizing the battery somewhat depends on your typical “ride time”. Too big a battery and you will hate carrying the extra weight without using it, too small you will have “range anxiety”.
Market sweet spot between 630Wh - 750Wh for full fat emtb (there are smaller and/or bigger options...
I have always bought locally. LBS were a bit clueless when the first e-bikes came about, so was tech training from the Bike brands, this has evolved quite a bit in the last few years, make sure your local shop is able to service your bike properly, which they should. 👍
I can’t comment if you’re training at an olympic level but for the rest of us (regular Joe’s) I respectfully do not agree with this. Riding more often with variable/adjustable resistance keeping the HR in the “right” zone for the specific training target (peak, interval, cardio, off days, …)...

I tried the Elite for a good 1 ½ hour last fall and did not experience dropper issue at all. I completely agree that Giant is unlikely to market a bike with this inherent problem.
