Santa Cruz Vala
What owners actually know.
The Santa Cruz Vala launched in October 2024 as Santa Cruz's first full-power Bosch CX Gen 5 bike. It is a carbon-only VPP trail/all-mountain platform with a 600Wh battery, sold in R, S, X0 and XX builds through the dealer network, and a single generation so far.

A conventional bike in the best sense: the only real hardware cluster (early-production Gen 5 motor-mount bushing play) has a confirmed parts fix and shipped quietly through the LBS network, no frame failures appear in 1,516 posts, and the recurring owner work is tuning, not repair.
A firm factory shock setup, divisive stock tyres, Maven brake care. The 600Wh battery is the honest limit: under ~180lb it clears 4-5,000ft days; over ~200lb the PowerMore extender is mandatory kit.
