Giant Reign E+
What owners actually know.
The Giant Reign E+ spans three generations. Gen 1 (2020-21) ran Giant's SyncDrive Pro motor - a Yamaha PW-X2 - with a 625Wh battery. Gen 2 (2022-24) is the alloy mullet generation on the SyncDrive Pro2 (Yamaha PW-X3 based) with 625 or 800Wh batteries. The 2026 Gen 3, badged Reign Advanced E+, goes full carbon with the SyncDrive Pro3 - Giant's 90Nm, 48V tune of Yamaha's PW-X4 platform - a 560Wh main battery and a 280Wh extender.
✓Most owners report no problems. The clusters below are the minority who hit something: every count is distinct owners, and every claim links to the post it came from.
The 2022 'cracking' scare was cosmetic weld filler: teardowns found nothing structural and Giant's lifetime frame warranty held.
The real ownership variance is warranty logistics: some owners saw five-day frame turnarounds, others six-month dealer limbo. The 2026 Reign Advanced E+ is too new for any verdict.
