DJI Avinox M1 reliability
The Verdict
For a launch motor carrying this much hype, the M1's record is mostly noise rather than failure: the coast rattle (13 reporters, claims denied as 'within spec') and a speed-sensor-error-to-motor-swap pattern (7 cases) lead the list, against 15-month, 2,000-mile faultless reports.
DJI swaps motors fast but will not say what failed, and marketing the M2S's dual-mesh gears as the anti-rattle fix reads as tacit admission. The April 2026 M2/M2S launch hit M1 owners harder in resale value than on the trail.
