A solid all-round descender (66.3° head angle, 150mm) — capable in the rough and steep without being an all-out bruiser.
YDX-MORO 07 2024
How current the bike is — newer chassis, motor and battery score higher. 10 = brand-new, 0 = legacy.

The Yamaha YDX-MORO 07 is the flagship of Yamaha's full-power eMTB line, built around the brand's patented Dual Twin aluminium frame, which uses parallel twin tubes to centralise mass and lower the centre of gravity. For the 2024 model year it runs Yamaha's PW-X3 mid-drive motor, rated at 85Nm of torque with 250W nominal and 500W peak output and a 20mph (Class 1) assist limit, fed by an integrated 500Wh Yamaha battery. Travel is 160mm up front via a RockShox Lyrik Select and 150mm at the rear from a custom-tuned RockShox Super Deluxe Select+.
It is offered as a single build in the US market at 6,399 dollars MSRP, in Dual Blue or Raven Silver, and was never sold in the UK (no GBP price exists). The spec is a serious all-mountain package: Shimano XT 12-speed (10-51T) shifting, a Praxis e-crank with a 36T ring, Magura MT5 four-piston brakes on 203mm rotors front and rear, a Trans-X dropper with size-specific travel, and Maxxis 27.5x2.6-inch tyres (Minion DHF front, Rekon rear) on Yamaha's own 27.5+ alloy wheels. Claimed weight is 51.3lb (around 23.3kg) in Medium.
Geometry is conservative by modern enduro standards: a 66.3 degree head angle across all three sizes, a 70.3 degree seat tube angle, and reach figures of 393mm, 437mm and 482mm for Small, Medium and Large. That, combined with the 27.5+ wheels and a relatively tall front end, points to a stable, planted trail and all-mountain bike rather than an aggressive enduro race weapon.
Note on availability: Yamaha has scaled back its power-assist bicycle business in places, but at the time of writing the 2024 YDX-MORO 07 remains listed and priced on Yamaha's US sites, so it reads as a current US-market model. There is limited recent community ride and reliability feedback on this generation, so long-term ownership impressions are not yet established.
What the numbers mean on the trail
Computed from this bike's geometry, spec and build kit — reach, wheelbase, chainstay, head and seat angles, travel, motor, weight and the fork/tyre/brake spec — and worked out per size, because a fixed chainstay can make an S and an XL feel very different.
A fair bit of pop, but happiest on flowing trail rather than trials moves.
Not enough geometry on record to judge size balance.
A workmanlike climber — expect to put in more rider effort on the steep stuff. 500W of peak power and 85Nm of torque — a strong full-power motor.
No single standout trait — a balanced, versatile bike.
Lower torque or a slacker seat angle — fine, just don't expect a winch.
