The E-180 V3 was the flagship of Whyte's 'Go Gravity' eMTB range for 2022: an alloy super enduro and bike park machine with 180mm of travel at both ends, 27.5in wheels front and rear, and a Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 4 motor fed by a 625Wh internal PowerTube. Whyte's rolled-motor frame design put the battery and motor unusually low in the frame, and the Shape.it Link offered geometry adjustment from 64.6 to 64.0 degrees at the head angle.
Two builds were sold. The E-180 S (£5,999 at launch) ran a RockShox ZEB fork, Super Deluxe Select shock, SRAM Code R brakes and a GX Eagle drivetrain. The E-180 RS (£7,250 at launch, later £7,699) stepped up to Fox Factory suspension with a Kashima-coated 38 and Float X2, SRAM X01 Eagle shifting, Code RSC brakes and DT Swiss 350 hubs. Both trims shared the burly Maxxis Assegai EXO+/Double Down tyre pairing and a 220mm front rotor.
Geometry was aggressive for the period: 455 to 505mm reach across the three sizes (M, L, XL), 444mm chainstays, a low 335 to 344mm bottom bracket and a long 1241 to 1302mm wheelbase, all on dual 27.5in wheels for a playful, slammed stance rather than outright rollover speed.
The E-180 V3 is discontinued. Whyte moved the platform to a mixed-wheel format with the E-180 S MX for 2023, and the company's gravity-focused e-bikes have since been superseded by newer ranges.
