The E-160 is Whyte's full power alloy trail and enduro platform: 160mm Fox or RockShox fork, 155mm rear travel, a Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 4 motor and a big 750Wh in-tube battery in a multi-butted 6061 T6 aluminium frame. Whyte pitches it as a trail/enduro all-rounder, and every E-160 with the fourth generation BDU37 motor gets the free Bosch software update that unlocks E-MTB+ mode from July 2025.
The £6,399 RS is the value pick of the range: SRAM GX T-Type AXS wireless shifting, a Fox 38 Performance fork with custom-tuned Float DPS shock, Code R four-piston brakes on 220/200mm rotors and Double Down rear tyre casing. The £6,999 RSX adds Performance Elite Fox suspension with a Grip 2 damper and Float X shock, DT Swiss 350 hubs on HX 1700 rims and Code RSC brakes for £600 more, though it only comes in M to XL. The £5,499 S keeps the wireless GX AXS drivetrain but moves to a RockShox ZEB and Deluxe Select R with Guide RE brakes, making it one of the cheaper routes to a 750Wh Bosch full-suspension bike.
Geometry follows Whyte's Total Geometry approach: a 64.8 degree head angle, 455mm reach on a Medium and long 444 to 446mm rear centres, with XS and S sizes on 27.5in wheels and M to XL on 29ers. The Shape.It Link flip chip slackens the head angle by 0.6 degrees and drops the bottom bracket 8mm from the stock High setting. At 26.3 to 27kg claimed these are not light bikes, but the low-slung battery and motor placement is central to Whyte's handling pitch.
