High-pivot carbon eMTB with Avinox M2S

The Teewing Flux 2026 is the Chinese direct-to-consumer brand's flagship carbon enduro eMTB, built around the DJI Avinox M2S motor (150 Nm peak torque, 250 W rated, 1500 W manufacturer-claimed peak, 2.63 kg) and the 800 Wh Avinox FP800 battery. Travel is 180 mm front and 170 mm rear (178 mm with mullet flip-chip) on a carbon high-pivot chassis with idler pulley and rearward axle path. Three sizes M/L/XL, reach 455-505 mm, head angle 63.8 degrees flat, chainstays 450 mm, claimed weight 21.5 kg on the One Pro trim. The community read in one line: a genuinely competitive Chinese-built carbon high-pivot enduro on the most powerful production motor at remarkably aggressive pricing, with the trade-off being a totally new brand with no support track record outside Asia.
Drive system and range. The DJI Avinox M2S is the most powerful production eMTB motor in 2026: 150 Nm peak, 1500 W manufacturer-claimed peak, all in 2.63 kg. @Astro66 notes Teewing chose the M2S over the M2 "for lighter weight and quieter operation, despite M2's extra 200W peak power advantage." DJI's full smartphone tuning ecosystem, GPS, 4G connectivity and anti-theft features come standard via the touchscreen display. The 800 Wh battery is removable. Real-world range in mixed terrain on Trail/Boost mode will sit in the 50 to 80 km territory.
Geometry and handling. Aggressive enduro intent. 63.8 degree head angle is properly slack, well-matched to the 180 mm fork and high-pivot suspension. Reach is sensibly modern at 455 mm (M), 480 mm (L), 505 mm (XL). Chainstays held at 450 mm flat across all three sizes. Wheelbase ~1270 mm at L. The high-pivot suspension layout with rearward axle path is the standout — it allows the rear wheel to travel rearwards on impact, swallowing square-edge hits better than conventional four-bar layouts. The mullet flip-chip swings rear travel between 170 mm (full 29) and 178 mm (mullet).
Build and value. The One Pro trim (21.5 kg) gets Fox 38 Float Factory Kashima with GRIP X2 damper, Fox Float X2 Factory shock with HSC/LSC/HSR/LSR adjustable, Shimano XT BR-M8220 4-piston brakes and Shimano XT Di2 M8250 wireless drivetrain. @Astro66 documents Flux Enduro Carbon 180/178 with 800 Wh battery, Fox 38, Float X shock, DD-casing Maxxis tyres at 22.9 kg total, priced at £5,250 versus YT's equivalent at £7,400 — a meaningful value advantage.
Community-verified strengths.
- @Astro66 on the value play: 22.9 kg Carbon High Pivot 180/178 mm with 800 Wh battery and DD-casing tyres at £5,250 versus YT's equivalent at £7,400. The price-to-spec ratio is genuinely competitive.
- @Astro66 details practical part-sourcing: Koozer 350 hub with HG Freehub body fits the XS-1270 T-Type cassette which costs AUD$200 (vs XO cassette ~AUD$600). Pragmatic spec choices keep total ownership cost competitive.
- High-pivot suspension delivers tangible square-edge bump absorption that conventional four-bar designs cannot match.
Caveats and known gripes.
- @DylanJM appropriately flags the brand risk: "Teewing is a new company with very little track record they could be gone two years from now." Buying from an unknown direct-to-consumer Chinese brand means assuming long-term warranty risk.
- @Astro66 himself: "I'm not spending AUD$5K on a frame and motor system that is not directly supported by someone within driving distance of my home." Local dealer support is the unknown.
- Three sizes only (M/L/XL) means no S size for shorter riders.
- Fixed 450 mm chainstays across all three sizes — no size-tuning.
- The carbon high-pivot platform is new from a new brand. Long-term frame durability and warranty support across multiple seasons is unproven.
Verdict. The Teewing Flux 2026 is the value play of the entire 2026 carbon enduro category — high-pivot carbon, DJI Avinox M2S, sub-22 kg with 800 Wh battery, Fox Factory suspension and Shimano XT Di2 wireless, at prices that meaningfully undercut major-brand rivals. It suits early-adopter riders willing to take brand risk for spec value, who appreciate high-pivot suspension and DJI motor power, and who can either live with remote support or have a strong local relationship with a Teewing dealer. Look elsewhere if you want a proven brand with established warranty support, multiple sizes (S through XXL), or size-tuned chainstays. Production status: current, single One Pro trim, three sizes.
