The Simplon Rapcon :eCX is the full-power Bosch member of Simplon's Rapcon family, carried over for 2025 as a renamed version of the outgoing Rapcon Pmax CX. It pairs a full-carbon 4-bar frame with 160 mm of travel front and rear, 29in wheels and a flip chip that converts the bike to a mullet setup, putting it firmly in all-mountain to enduro territory.
The defining traits are the almost 80-degree effective seat angle and the slack 64.5-degree head angle, a combination Simplon pitches at confident climbing without giving up descending composure. Reach grows in tidy 20 mm steps from 441 mm on the S to 501 mm on the XL, with size-specific chainstays from 436 to 447 mm to keep the balance consistent across the range.
Power comes from a Bosch Performance Line CX driving a removable 750 Wh PowerTube, with a lighter 500 Wh pack and a range extender available through Simplon's configurator. Rather than fixed trims, the :eCX is sold as a custom build: the entry Core specification with a SRAM Eagle 90 transmission starts at 6,999 euros and a claimed 24.28 kg, with riders free to upgrade fork, shock, wheels and drivetrain to suit.
