A solid all-round descender (68° head angle, 120mm) — capable in the rough and steep without being an all-out bruiser.

Entry full-power hardtail for commuting and gentle off-road use

The 2023 Scott Aspect eRIDE was Scott's entry-level full-power electric hardtail: a 29er aluminium frame, a 120mm SR Suntour fork up front and no rear shock, built around a Bosch motor and an integrated, removable PowerTube battery. It is now discontinued, superseded by the 2024 and later Aspect eRIDE bikes.
The badge number tells you almost everything. The dearer 900, 910 and 920 (plus the 920 blue colourway) run the proper 85Nm Bosch Performance Line CX (Gen 4) with a 625 or 750Wh battery, so they pull like a genuine trail eMTB. The mid 930 drops to the cheaper non-CX Bosch Performance Line (around 63Nm), and the budget 940 and 950 use the modest 50Nm Bosch Active Line Plus with a smaller 500Wh pack. If you want real climbing punch, the 900 to 920 are the ones to chase.
There are two frames hiding in the range. The CX bikes and the 930 share a 68 degree head angle, 74 degree seat angle and a long 500mm chainstay. The 940 and 950 sit on the older 'Bosch Gen3' frame with a slacker 67.5 degree head angle, steeper 75 degree seat tube, a shorter 480mm chainstay and noticeably longer reach. Across the board it is a comfort-biased XC hardtail rather than a hard-charging trail bike: relaxed geometry, coil or air budget forks, Kenda Booster 2.6in tyres and either Tektro four-piston or Shimano two-piston brakes on 180mm rotors.
Sensible value when new, and still a tidy used buy if you match the trim to your terrain. Just go in with eyes open about which Bosch motor you are getting, because the spread from 50Nm to 85Nm is the difference between a gentle assist and a proper trail companion.
What the numbers mean on the trail
Computed from this bike's geometry, spec and build kit — reach, wheelbase, chainstay, head and seat angles, travel, motor, weight and the fork/tyre/brake spec — and worked out per size, because a fixed chainstay can make an S and an XL feel very different.
A fair bit of pop, but happiest on flowing trail rather than trials moves.
Not enough geometry on record to judge size balance.
A workmanlike climber — expect to put in more rider effort on the steep stuff. 600W of peak power and 85Nm of torque — a strong full-power motor.
No single standout trait — a balanced, versatile bike.
Lower torque or a slacker seat angle — fine, just don't expect a winch.
