A solid all-round descender (66.5° head angle, 140mm) — capable in the rough and steep without being an all-out bruiser.

Trim carbon all-mountain bike with a small battery and light feel

The Rotwild R.X375 was the German brand's lightweight all-mountain eMTB for 2022, built around a handmade high-modulus carbon frame, a Shimano EP8 motor and a compact 375 Wh IPU375 carbon battery. Rotwild pitched it as the king of the trail: 150 mm of fork travel and 140 mm out back on 29in wheels, with a low weight and lively handling aimed at riders who want an analogue mountain bike feel with just a bit of assistance.
Geometry is modern-trail rather than radical, with a 66.5 degree head angle, 75.5 degree effective seat angle, a consistent 450 mm chainstay and reach spanning 430 to 500 mm across S to XL. The quick-release carbon battery drops out tool-free for easy charging or swapping.
Three trims covered a wide spread: the Core (7,499 EUR) on FOX Performance suspension with Magura MT5 brakes, the Pro (8,999 EUR) stepping up to a full Shimano XT drivetrain and I9 wheels, and the flagship Ultra (11,999 EUR) with FOX Factory Kashima, Shimano XTR and Crankbrothers Synthesis carbon wheels.
The R.X375 is now discontinued. Rotwild has since revised its lightweight line, but the original 2022 R.X375 remains a genuinely light, short-travel carbon eMTB for riders who prize agility over outright range.
What the numbers mean on the trail
Computed from this bike's geometry, spec and build kit — reach, wheelbase, chainstay, head and seat angles, travel, motor, weight and the fork/tyre/brake spec — and worked out per size, because a fixed chainstay can make an S and an XL feel very different.
A fair bit of pop, but happiest on flowing trail rather than trials moves.
Rear-long with a planted front in L (FC:RC 1.75) — easy to weight the front and quick to turn, though it can feel light at the back at real speed.
Shimano EP8 (DU-EP800) and a steep 75.5° seat angle keep the weight planted over the front — a proper winch. 500W of peak power and 85Nm of torque — a strong full-power motor.
No single standout trait — a balanced, versatile bike.
The numbers are well balanced for its category.
