R.X275 2025
How current the bike is — newer chassis, motor and battery score higher. 10 = brand-new, 0 = legacy.

The Rotwild R.X275 is the German marque's lightweight TQ-powered trail eMTB, built around a handmade high-modulus carbon frame and the quiet, compact TQ HPR50 motor. With 130 mm of fork travel and 120 mm at the rear, plus a full 29in wheelset, it sits firmly in the light-and-lively category rather than the big-hitting enduro space. The headline figure is weight: the range tops out at a claimed 15.3 kg for the ULTRA, which makes it one of the lightest full-power-feel trail eMTBs available.
Geometry is measured rather than radical: a 66 degree head angle, 75.5 degree effective seat angle and short 437 mm chainstays across all four sizes point to an agile, climb-happy bike. Reach runs from 430 mm (S) to 510 mm (XL), so sizing is conventional. The 252 Wh integrated IPU275 battery and 50 Nm motor mean this is a bike that rewards a strong rider with eco-friendly assistance and an on-demand Boost button rather than one that flatters with raw grunt.
The three builds share the same frame, motor and geometry, so the choice is purely about kit. The CORE (EUR 7,990) runs a Shimano XT drivetrain, FOX Performance suspension and alloy wheels at a claimed 16.2 kg. The PRO (EUR 8,990) steps up to XTR shifting and brakes for a marginal weight change. The ULTRA (EUR 9,990) is where the weight tumbles, adding FOX Factory Kashima suspension, full XTR, DT Swiss carbon wheels, e*thirteen Race Carbon cranks and Rotwild's integrated RIC280 carbon cockpit to reach the headline 15.3 kg.
Note that Rotwild has no UK distributor, so prices are quoted in euros and a buyer would be importing. For riders chasing the lightest possible trail eMTB with a natural, rider-led power delivery, the R.X275 is a credible alternative to the likes of the TQ-powered Trek Fuel EXe and Scott Lumen.
