A solid all-round descender (66° head angle, 120mm) — capable in the rough and steep without being an all-out bruiser.
R.X275 2024
How current the bike is — newer chassis, motor and battery score higher. 10 = brand-new, 0 = legacy.

The Rotwild R.X275 was the German brand's lightweight trail and downcountry play, slotting under the ATHLETIC / ALL MOUNTAIN banner. A handmade high-modulus carbon frame with a flexstay rear end gives 120 mm travel out back paired to a 130 mm fork, on full 29in wheels. Despite the 275 in the name it is not a 27.5in or mullet bike. The quiet TQ HPR50 motor (50 Nm, up to 250 W) and a permanently integrated 252 Wh IPU275 pack keep the ULTRA build down to a claimed 15.3 kg, with a bottle-mount range extender on offer for longer days.
Geometry is moderate and natural rather than aggressive: a 66 degree head angle, 75.5 degree effective seat angle, 437 mm chainstays across the board and reach from 430 mm (S) to 510 mm (XL). That, plus the integrated cockpit and Ergon contact points, leans toward an efficient, regular-MTB feel rather than an enduro sledgehammer.
Two trims were offered. The PRO at 8,990 EUR came with a Fox Performance Elite 34 fork, e*thirteen Plus cranks, DT Swiss HX1700 alloy wheels and a Shimano XTR 9100 drivetrain. The flagship ULTRA at 11,490 EUR added a Fox Factory Kashima 34 and DPS shock, e*thirteen Race Carbon cranks, DT Swiss HXC1501 carbon wheels and an XTR 9100/9110 stop kit. Both ran 29x2.4 Schwalbe Nobby Nic front and Wicked Will rear.
The R.X275 is now discontinued. For the 2025 model year Rotwild restructured this lightweight line under the R.R275 X naming, so the R.X275 represents the original 2023-2024 generation of the platform.
What the numbers mean on the trail
Computed from this bike's geometry, spec and build kit — reach, wheelbase, chainstay, head and seat angles, travel, motor, weight and the fork/tyre/brake spec — and worked out per size, because a fixed chainstay can make an S and an XL feel very different.
Short 437mm rear and a lighter build — easy to pop, manual and throw around.
Balanced front-to-rear in L (FC:RC 1.83) — weight sits evenly between the wheels.
Climbs well — a 75.5° seat keeps the front planted. 300W of peak power and 50Nm of torque.
Easy to throw around; happiest when you're active on the bike.
The numbers are well balanced for its category.
