A solid all-round descender (66° head angle, 120mm) — capable in the rough and steep without being an all-out bruiser.
R.X275 2023
How current the bike is — newer chassis, motor and battery score higher. 10 = brand-new, 0 = legacy.

The 2023 Rotwild R.X275 was the German marque's first lightweight trail e-MTB, and at the time one of the lightest production full-suspension e-bikes available, with the Ultra claimed at 15.3 kg in size M. The full High Modulus carbon frame uses a flex-stay rear end (no rear pivot) to shed weight, paired with 130 mm up front and 120 mm out back on 29in wheels. The drive is a TQ HPR50 (up to 50 Nm) fed by a fully integrated 250 Wh IPU pack, with a handlebar Boost Button that lifts output from a 200 W cap to 300 W for up to 30 seconds.
Two trims were offered, both in the RED MATT colourway. The Pro at 9,499 EUR runs Fox Performance Elite suspension and a Shimano XT 12-speed drivetrain with XT four-piston brakes. The Ultra at 12,499 EUR steps up to Fox Factory Kashima, full Shimano XTR, DT Swiss carbon wheels, a one-piece ROTWILD RIC280 carbon cockpit and a carbon e*thirteen chainset, justifying the considerable premium for buyers chasing the lowest weight.
Geometry is restrained and trail-oriented rather than slack: a 66 degree head angle, 75.5 degree seat angle and short 437 mm chainstays across all four sizes (S to XL), with reach from 430 to 510 mm and a low BB (37.5 mm drop). That makes it an agile, pedal-focused bike rather than a long-travel descender.
This 2023 model is discontinued and was sold only in EUR, with no UK GBP RRP published. Rotwild has since updated the R.X275 line, so this is the original first-generation build.
What the numbers mean on the trail
Computed from this bike's geometry, spec and build kit — reach, wheelbase, chainstay, head and seat angles, travel, motor, weight and the fork/tyre/brake spec — and worked out per size, because a fixed chainstay can make an S and an XL feel very different.
Short 437mm rear and a lighter build — easy to pop, manual and throw around.
Balanced front-to-rear in L (FC:RC 1.83) — weight sits evenly between the wheels.
Climbs well — a 75.5° seat keeps the front planted. 300W of peak power and 50Nm of torque.
Easy to throw around; happiest when you're active on the bike.
The numbers are well balanced for its category.
