EMTB Forums verdict

The Rotwild R.G375 is a German-built light gravity machine that the brand pitches squarely at bike parks, freeride and downhill duty. The handmade high-modulus carbon frame carries a full 180 mm up front and 177 mm at the rear, with the linkage and shock yoke also moulded in carbon to keep weight down. At a claimed 21.1 kg in size M it is notably light for a 180 mm e-bike, and that figure is helped considerably by the compact 360 Wh IPU375 carbon battery rather than the 600 Wh-plus packs most enduro e-bikes carry.

That small battery is the defining trade-off. The QR-Button quick release lets you swap packs quickly, and Rotwild's pitch is that a second battery effectively doubles your ride time, so this is a bike built around carrying spare energy rather than hauling one heavy cell. The Shimano EP8 motor delivers 85 Nm, which is competitive on torque even if range from a single charge will be short by class standards.

Only one build is offered, the PRO at 6,990 EUR, and it is a coherent gravity spec: a FOX 38 Performance Elite fork and Float X2 shock, four-piston Magura MT5 brakes on 203 mm rotors front and rear, a Shimano XT 12-speed drivetrain, Crankbrothers Synthesis Enduro wheels and a Magic Mary / Big Betty tyre pairing. The geometry backs the downhill intent with a slack 63 degree head angle, a 76 degree seat angle and long 460 mm chainstays across all three sizes, with reach running from 450 mm (M) to 500 mm (XL).
