EMTB Forums verdict

The Rotwild R.E375 was the lightweight full-power enduro eMTB from German brand Rotwild (ADP Engineering), pairing a handmade high-modulus carbon frame with a Shimano EP8 motor and a compact 375 Wh carbon battery. The 'E375' name signals the 375 Wh IPU battery, the light-assist sibling to the longer-range R.E750.

With 170 mm of front travel, 160 mm rear, a very slack 63.5 degree head angle and roomy reach (460 to 510 mm across M to XL), the geometry was purpose-built for steep, technical descents and high-speed control. Weight-saving trumped range: the small battery keeps the system light and lively, at the cost of outright capacity.

Two trims were offered. The Core (from 7,999 euro) ran Fox 36 Performance forks, a Float X Performance shock and Magura MT5 brakes, while the Pro (from 9,499 euro) stepped up to Fox Factory Kashima suspension, Shimano XT four-piston brakes and Crankbrothers Synthesis Enduro i9 wheels.

The R.E375 has since been discontinued from Rotwild's range. It remains a distinctive choice for riders who prioritised nimble handling and a low system weight over battery range in a full-power enduro eMTB.

What the numbers mean on the trail

Computed from this bike's geometry, spec and build kit — reach, wheelbase, chainstay, head and seat angles, travel, motor, weight and the fork/tyre/brake spec — and worked out per size, because a fixed chainstay can make an S and an XL feel very different.

Size
Descending
80

Slack 63.5° head angle, 160mm travel and a long 1284mm wheelbase — composed in the chunk, confident when it gets steep, and stable through fast corners.

Playfulness
37

More planted than poppy — better on steep terrain than tight, fiddly singletrack.

Size balance
76

Front-long in L: 839mm front centre on 445mm stays (FC:RC 1.89). Planted and composed; rewards a forward, attacking stance.

Technical climbing
58

Climbs well — a 77° seat keeps the front planted. 500W of peak power and 85Nm of torque — a strong full-power motor.

Best suited toFast, steep, rough tracks — and riders who want maximum composure.

Rewards commitment; it should feel calmer as the speed rises.

Watch out forNot a flickable, playful bike — built to plough, not pop.

Brilliant on fast, rough, steep terrain; less fun on tight, mellow trails.

“Size L, vinyl wrapped, longer-than-stock 170mm seatpost and lightweight platform pedals = my not highly accurate scales say 19.8-20.1kg depending on how they're feeling. FWIW with the motor turned off the bike pedals better than my 2015…”
