CNC alloy long-travel eMTB with Bosch Performance Line CX Gen4 (85Nm)

The Pole Voima 2025 is the Finnish brand's CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminium enduro eMTB flagship, distinctive for its 190mm front and rear travel and bonded-construction frame. Headline numbers: 190mm fork, 190mm rear, Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 4 (85Nm at the listed 2025 spec, with PU2.0 firmware path to 120Nm Gen 5 mapping where compatible), a removable 750Wh Bosch PowerTube battery, 25.5kg claimed, 63.5 degree head angle and reach 450 to 535mm across K1, K2, K3 and K4. Priced from GBP 6,999. Production status is listed as discontinued. @D3xt3rMTB's K4 build represents Pole's typical top-spec configuration: 190mm Zeb Ultimate, Vivid Ultimate Air, 750Wh battery plus a 500Wh additional battery included.
Drive system and range. The 2025 Voima shipped with the Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 4 at 85Nm and 600W peak. Where the bike receives Bosch's PU2.0 firmware update path it is lifted to 120Nm at the wheel and 750W peak (the Gen 5 spec). The 750Wh PowerTube battery is removable through the downtube. @D3xt3rMTB reports K4 configurations including an additional 500Wh battery, taking total capacity to 1,250Wh effective for backcountry alpine missions: exceptional range for the segment. Bosch's Flow app, Kiox display and OTA firmware come standard.
Geometry and handling. 63.5 degrees up front is properly slack: bordering on DH territory. Reach steps cleanly: 450 (K1), 480 (K2), 510 (K3), 535 (K4): Pole's signature long reach approach. Chainstays are a uniform 455mm and wheelbase tops out at 1368mm on K4. @D3xt3rMTB confirms K4 is the largest frame size Pole manufactures, suited for tall riders. The Sensei dual-link suspension layout combined with 190/190mm travel and CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminium is genuinely unique in the eMTB world.
Build and value. One trim listed at GBP 6,999 / 25.5kg. Spec: RockShox ZEB Ultimate Charger 3 (190mm), RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate (250x75mm), SRAM Code RSC four-piston brakes. Pole's custom-spec build-to-order philosophy means buyers configure significant elements. @High Rock Ruti reports Shimano Di2 derailleur on a Voima requiring zero adjustment over 2,500+ miles, "far better reliability than SRAM AXS". Standout: 7075-T6 CNC-machined frame is among the most premium aluminium construction in the segment. Questionable: 25.5kg is heavy versus Avinox carbon enduro rivals; the discontinued status removes new-build options.
Caveats and known gripes.
- Discontinued. Production status is discontinued; new buys are only via used market or end-of-line frameset stock from Pole direct. Warranty support is limited to the original warranty period.
- Swingarm failure history. @Plummet reports a Voima swingarm crack and notes welding is not feasible because welding destroys the heat treatment and would damage the bonding glue. Buyers of used Voimas should check swingarm condition carefully.
- 25.5kg. Heavy for a 190/190mm bike by 2025 standards: most rivals now run carbon frames and Avinox motors.
- Bonded construction service complexity. The bonded-and-CNC frame design is not field-repairable; warranty replacement is the only resolution for failures.
- Strava comparison. @Plummet reports a Santa Cruz Crestline beat all previous Voima times on the same Strava segments: anecdotal but worth knowing for performance-orientated buyers.
- Bosch Gen 4 at launch. Buyers should confirm PU2.0 firmware update is applied for the Gen 5 120Nm mapping.
Verdict. The 2025 Voima is one of the most distinctive eMTBs ever built: a CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminium enduro/DH platform with proper 190/190mm travel, modern slack-long Finnish geometry, Bosch CX Gen 4 power and the headline ability to fit dual batteries for 1,250Wh effective range. Production status is discontinued. It suits riders who value Pole's CNC engineering pedigree and who can access a known-good used example with documented frame history. Buyers wanting a current-production warranty path, carbon construction or lighter system weight should look at the Nicolai G1 Eboxx, Specialized Kenevo or YT Decoy. Production status: discontinued.
