The 2025 Mondraker Prime is an aluminium hardtail eMTB built on Mondraker's Forward Geometry, with a Bosch Performance Line CX Cruise Smart System motor (85Nm) and 120mm of front travel on a RockShox Recon fork. It sits at the more accessible end of the eMTB market, leaning on Bosch's full-power drive unit rather than a lightweight system, and spans two trail builds plus two commuter-focused variants.
On value, the £3,499 Base offers the core package with SRAM Level T two-piston brakes and a 625Wh battery, while the £4,099 R steps up to four-piston SRAM DB8 brakes, a Recon Gold RL remote-lockout fork, an internal dropper post and a larger 750Wh battery. The X (£3,699) and RX (£4,299) shift towards commuting duty with Maxxis Grifter tyres, lights, mudguards, a rear rack and a kickstand; the RX adds the DB8 brakes, dropper and 750Wh pack, where the X keeps Level T brakes, a rigid post and a removable 625Wh battery. The R is the pick for off-road trail use, the RX for loaded adventure and commuting.
Geometry is moderate by modern standards: a 69 degree head angle, 73.5 degree effective seat angle and 455mm chainstays across the range, with reach growing from 410mm in XS to 505mm in XL. Five frame sizes (XS, S, M, L and XL) give a tighter fit spread than most hardtails. The relatively upright front end and 2.5 to 2.6in tyres point to a confident but composed trail and fitness brief rather than aggressive descending.
