The 2024 Mondraker Dune marks the rebirth of a famous enduro name as a lightweight e-MTB. Where the old Dune was a pedal-only enduro bike, this generation is built around Bosch's compact Performance Line SX motor (55Nm, 600W peak) and a 400Wh integrated battery, keeping claimed weight just under 20kg on the entry Dune R. The full-carbon Stealth Air frame uses Mondraker's Zero Suspension System for 165mm of rear travel, paired with a 170mm fork (180mm on the XR), a mullet wheel setup and the brand's long, low Forward Geometry.
Three carbon builds share the same frame. The Dune R (6,799 GBP) runs a Fox 38 Performance fork and Float X shock with a SRAM GX Eagle mechanical drivetrain and DB8 brakes. The RR (8,499 GBP) steps up to Ohlins RXF 38 and TTX Air suspension, SRAM GX AXS T-Type wireless shifting and Code Bronze brakes. The flagship XR (11,999 GBP) gets a 180mm Ohlins RXF 38 fork with a coil TTX22 shock, SRAM X0 AXS T-Type, Code Ultimate brakes, e*thirteen carbon wheels and a RockShox Reverb AXS post.
Geometry is aggressive for the class, with a 64-degree head angle on the 170mm R and RR builds slackening to 63.5 degrees on the 180mm XR, a steep 77 to 77.5-degree effective seat angle and 445mm chainstays across all four sizes. The 400Wh battery is integrated and non-removable, but the Dune accepts Bosch's 250Wh PowerMore range extender for longer days. It was discontinued and replaced by a later Dune for the following model year.
