EMTB Forums verdict

The eOne-Sixty SL is Merida's lightweight carbon take on its enduro eMTB, built around the compact Bosch Performance Line SX drive unit. Merida runs the SX at 55 Nm with a 600 W peak and pairs it with a fully integrated, non-removable 400 Wh CompactTube battery, keeping a claimed weight from around 19.5 kg. An optional Bosch PowerMore 250 Wh range extender drops into the front triangle when more range is needed.

This is a proper 160 mm front and rear enduro chassis on a full carbon CF4 frame, not a stripped-back lightweight. The geometry is aggressive for the class with a 64 degree head angle, a 78.5 degree seat angle and a 450 mm chainstay across every size. Merida's Agilometer sizing pairs very short seat tubes with long dropper posts, so riders can size up for stability or down for agility, and the seat-stay flip chip allows a mullet 27.5in rear without altering the geometry.

The three-trim range spans a wide price spread. The 10K leads with Fox 36 Factory, Float X Factory, SRAM XX Transmission, Maven Ultimate brakes and an FSA carbon wheelset. The 8000 swaps to RockShox Lyrik and Super Deluxe with SRAM GX Transmission and DT Swiss wheels, while the 6000 brings the carbon frame and same motor down to a more accessible price on Marzocchi suspension and a Shimano Deore 12-speed build. Note the 10K is offered in four sizes (Short to XLong) where the 8000 and 6000 add an XShort.
