Megamo Ryal 2026
EMTB Forums verdict

The Ryal is Megamo's bid to make Avinox power affordable. It is a 160/160 mm alloy enduro e-MTB built around a removable 800 Wh battery and the Megamo ASP four-bar linkage, and it sits below the carbon Reason in the range with a deliberately more relaxed geometry: shorter reach, higher stack and longer 455 mm-plus chainstays for everyday composure rather than outright race aggression. A flip-chip offers High and Low positions, swinging the head angle between 63.7 and 63.5 degrees and dropping the BB from 351 to 348 mm.

Four alloy builds share the same frame, battery and travel. The 03 AXS is the halo bike with Fox 38 Factory and Float X Factory suspension, full SRAM S1000 Eagle AXS wireless shifting, DT Swiss H 1900 wheels and a Fox Transfer Factory dropper, all on the flagship Avinox M2S (150 Nm / 1500 W in Boost). The 05 keeps the M2S but steps to Fox 38 Performance, a Float Rhythm shock and mechanical SRAM 90 Eagle T-Type. The 08 and 10 move to the lighter Avinox M2 (125 Nm / 1100 W in Boost): the 08 pairs a RockShox Zeb with SRAM 70 Eagle and powerful Maven brakes, while the 10 is the EUR 3,999 entry point on a RockShox Psylo, Shimano XT mechanical shifting and a Deore cassette.

Worth noting for buyers: the 05, 08 and 10 are listed with a fixed Megamo Ø31.6 mm seatpost rather than a dropper, so only the 03 AXS ships with a dropper as standard. Brake rotor sizing is 203 mm front on the 03 AXS, 05 and 10, and 200 mm on the SRAM Maven-equipped 08.

This is a brand-new 2026 launch, so there is no long-term owner or reliability data yet. The headline value case is strong on paper, getting a removable-battery Avinox motor into an enduro chassis at prices well below most M2S rivals, but ride feel and durability remain unproven until bikes are in customers' hands.

What the numbers mean on the trail

Computed from this bike's geometry, spec and build kit — reach, wheelbase, chainstay, head and seat angles, travel, motor, weight and the fork/tyre/brake spec — and worked out per size, because a fixed chainstay can make an S and an XL feel very different.

Size
Setting
Descending
91

Slack 63.5° head angle, 160mm travel and a long 1317mm wheelbase — composed in the chunk, confident when it gets steep, and stable through fast corners.

Playfulness
12

More planted than poppy — better on steep terrain than tight, fiddly singletrack.

Size balance
79

Balanced front-to-rear in L (FC:RC 1.88) — weight sits evenly between the wheels.

Technical climbing
78

Avinox M2S and a steep 77° seat angle keep the weight planted over the front — a proper winch. 1300W of peak power and 150Nm of torque — among the most powerful e-bike motors made.

Best suited toFast, steep, rough tracks — and riders who want maximum composure.

Rewards commitment; it should feel calmer as the speed rises.

Watch out forNot a flickable, playful bike — built to plough, not pop.

Brilliant on fast, rough, steep terrain; less fun on tight, mellow trails.

⚙️ Adjustable geometry: this frame has a high/low setting — low drops the BB and slackens the head angle for more descending stability; high lifts the BB and steepens slightly for clearance and a perkier, more playful feel.
