Megamo Native 2024
EMTB Forums verdict

The Megamo Native (2024) is the Spanish brand's lightweight full-power trail eMTB: a full carbon 29er with 150mm of travel front and rear, built around the quiet, compact TQ HPR50 drive unit. Rather than a single huge battery it pairs a 360Wh internal pack with a 160Wh TQ range extender (included), keeping weight down while letting riders top up to 520Wh for bigger days.

The five-trim ladder runs from the SRAM XX AXS, Fox 36 Factory flagship Native 01 (8,791 euro) down to the Shimano SLX/Deluxe Select+ Native 20 (5,649 euro), with all builds sharing the same carbon frame, geometry and Maxxis Rekon 2.6 tyres. The mid Native 05 and 10 stand out on value, offering Fox 36 Performance or RockShox Lyrik forks and full Shimano XT shifting for under 6,700 euro.

Geometry is modern-trail but not extreme: a 65.5 degree head angle, 76.5 degree effective seat angle and short 440mm chainstays across all three sizes (S/M/L), with reach from 427 to 487mm. That makes it an agile, climb-friendly all-rounder rather than an enduro sled, which suits the lighter TQ assistance.

The 2024 Native is now discontinued and has been succeeded by the updated 2025 Native; prices quoted are the original Megamo EUR RRPs and there was no official UK GBP listing for this model.

What the numbers mean on the trail

Computed from this bike's geometry, spec and build kit — reach, wheelbase, chainstay, head and seat angles, travel, motor, weight and the fork/tyre/brake spec — and worked out per size, because a fixed chainstay can make an S and an XL feel very different.

Size
Descending
63

A solid all-round descender (65.5° head angle, 150mm) — capable in the rough and steep without being an all-out bruiser.

Playfulness
57

A fair bit of pop, but happiest on flowing trail rather than trials moves.

Size balance
88

Balanced front-to-rear in L (FC:RC 1.83) — weight sits evenly between the wheels.

Technical climbing
57

Climbs well — a 76.5° seat keeps the front planted. 300W of peak power and 50Nm of torque.

Best suited toAll-round trail riding across mixed terrain.

No single standout trait — a balanced, versatile bike.

Watch out forNo major red flags in the L geometry.

The numbers are well balanced for its category.
