Crave AL 2025
How current the bike is — newer chassis, motor and battery score higher. 10 = brand-new, 0 = legacy.

The Megamo Crave AL is the Spanish brand's aluminium full-suspension trail and enduro platform, built around 150 mm of rear travel, a 4-bar Horst Link layout and a 762 Wh integrated battery on a 29in chassis. Megamo lists a slack 64.3 degree head angle, a 73 degree effective seat angle and reach growing from 455 mm to 490 mm across S to M to L, which puts it in modern long-and-slack territory aimed at confident descending rather than tight, low-speed manoeuvring.
The range splits clearly by motor and budget. The AL 10 runs the full-power Shimano EP801 (85 Nm) with a RockShox 35 Silver fork, RockShox Deluxe shock and a SRAM SX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain. The AL 40 steps down to the Shimano EP6 mid-power unit, a Suntour XCR 34 E-Bike+ fork at 130 mm and a 10-speed Shimano CUES groupset, which is why it carries the lowest price in the line. Both share four-piston Shimano MT420 brakes on 203 mm rotors and a dropper post, so the core descending kit is consistent even at the entry point.
Across the builds the wheel and tyre package is geared towards grip, with 30 mm internal asymmetric rims and Maxxis rubber. Buyers prioritising outright motor power and fork performance should look at the EP801 builds, while the EP6-equipped AL 40 is the value entry to the platform for riders who want the same geometry and frame at a lower outlay.
