Full-power Avinox-driven 160/185 carbon enduro

The MMR Lyth 2026 is the Spanish brand's flagship carbon all-mountain eMTB, built around the DJI Avinox M2S motor (150 Nm, 250 W rated, 1,500 W peak, 2.63 kg) and an integrated 800 Wh Avinox FP800 battery. The frame is MMR's LYTH Mid Modulus carbon construction with the motor and battery sculpted directly into the structure. Travel is a balanced 160 mm front and rear via a four-bar layout, head angle 64.0°, and the bike features a flip-chip for High/Low geometry adjustment. UK base trim opens at £5,999 for the 30 build, scaling to £8,999 for the top-spec 00 trim with Fox Factory suspension and SRAM Maven Ultimate brakes. There's no significant community thread on the forum yet, but MMR is a serious Spanish racing brand (with strong XC and enduro World Cup pedigree under the Megamo and MMR labels) and the Lyth is positioned to compete directly with Amflow, Atherton and Crussis at sharper money.
Drive system and range. The Avinox M2S is currently the most powerful production eMTB motor at 150 Nm torque and 1,500 W peak — comfortably more than the Bosch CX Gen 5 (120 Nm) or Shimano EP801 (85 Nm). The 800 Wh FP800 battery is the full-size Avinox pack and gives roughly 1,200-1,600 m of climbing per charge depending on assist mode and rider weight. MMR has chosen to integrate the battery non-removable into the carbon construction, prioritising frame stiffness and aesthetics over off-bike charging convenience. Avinox firmware updates are pushed over-the-air via the DJI app and have continued to refine motor response since the system launched in late 2024.
Geometry and handling. A consistent 64.0° head angle across all sizes (in Low setting) sits squarely in modern all-mountain territory. Reach progresses generously: S 445 mm, M 475 mm, L 510 mm — a properly modern 30-35 mm step that suits taller riders particularly well. Chainstay length is fixed at 445 mm across all sizes. Wheelbase grows from 1,225 mm on the S to 1,307 mm on the L. The flip-chip allows riders to fine-tune the head angle and BB height by approximately half a degree. Three sizes is reasonable but constrains the fit range; no XL means riders above 6'2" may need to consider rivals.
Build and value. Three trims provide a coherent step ladder. The £5,999 30 base trim is the headline value proposition — Avinox M2S motor, full carbon frame, Fox Float 36 Rhythm fork, Fox Float X Rhythm shock, Shimano XT M8200 12-speed and Shimano Deore four-piston brakes. The 10 trim at £7,999 upgrades to Fox Performance suspension, SRAM Maven four-piston brakes and SRAM S1000 Transmission. The flagship 00 at £8,999 adds Fox Factory (Kashima) suspension, SRAM Maven Ultimate brakes and SRAM XO Transmission. The 30 represents the cheapest UK route into a properly-specced Avinox M2S carbon bike with reputable suspension, undercutting equivalent Atherton, Mondraker and Specialized builds significantly.
Caveats and known gripes. MMR's UK distribution footprint is thin — the brand has historically been strongest in Spain and Latin America. Buyers should confirm dealer warranty and service routes before purchase. The integrated, non-removable battery is the standard Avinox compromise across this segment: easy frame design and aesthetics, harder battery service. Three frame sizes only restricts the fit window. As a small-volume brand with a recently-launched product, long-term reliability and frame service data is thin. The bike is shipping from May 2026 in the UK, so first-hand owner reports will only start surfacing later in the year.
Verdict. The MMR Lyth is for the rider who wants DJI Avinox M2S power, a flagship carbon frame and serious 160/160 mm all-mountain travel for several thousand pounds less than equivalent big-brand options. It suits Spain-or-Europe-based buyers within reach of MMR dealers and adventurous shoppers happy to navigate boutique-brand service paths. It is not for buyers needing a deep service network, riders outside the S/M/L size range, or anyone who wants a removable battery. Production status is current with UK delivery from May 2026.
