Shorter and steeper (1209mm, 67°) — quick to react but less planted flat-out.
Racemaxx ELF 2026
How current the bike is — newer chassis, motor and battery score higher. 10 = brand-new, 0 = legacy.

The Racemaxx ELF is MAXX's lightweight e-hardtail, built around a 6061-T6 aluminium frame with the brand's custom tubing and the compact Fazua Ride 60 motor. With 60 Nm and a 450 W Boost peak fed by a removable 430 Wh in-tube battery, it sits firmly in the light-assist camp rather than the full-power category, aimed at riders who want a natural, agile feel close to a non-assisted bike.
It is sold as a single configurable build through MAXX's own configurator. The base kit pairs an SR Suntour Raidon34 fork with a Shimano XT Linkglide 11-speed transmission, a hard-wearing CS-LG700 11-50T cassette and four-piston Shimano Deore brakes on a 203/180 mm rotor pairing, plus MAXX's own cockpit and Schwalbe Nobby Nic tyres. The rigid seatpost and 740 mm bar reflect the cross-country and tour brief rather than a gravity setup.
Geometry is conservative and sporty rather than slack: a 67 degree head angle and 73 degree effective seat angle run across all four sizes, with reach growing from 398 mm on the XS to 457 mm on the L. Notably the two smaller sizes (XS and S) roll on 27.5 inch wheels with shorter 435 mm chainstays, while the M and L switch to 29 inch wheels with 455 mm stays, so MAXX tailors wheel size and rear-centre to rider height. Short seat tubes leave room for longer dropper posts should a buyer add one.

What the numbers mean on the trail
Computed from this bike's geometry and spec — reach, wheelbase, chainstay, head and seat angles, travel, motor, battery and weight — and worked out per size, because a fixed chainstay can make an S and an XL feel very different.
A fair bit of pop, but happiest on flowing trail rather than trials moves.
Rear-long with a planted front in L (FC:RC 1.66) — easy to weight the front and quick to turn, though it can feel light at the back at real speed.
A workmanlike climber — expect to put in more rider effort on the steep stuff.
No single standout trait — a balanced, versatile bike.
Fine at trail pace; ease off on the really fast, rough stuff.
