A solid all-round descender (67° head angle, 125mm) — capable in the rough and steep without being an all-out bruiser.
Macina Chacana 2024
How current the bike is — newer chassis, motor and battery score higher. 10 = brand-new, 0 = legacy.

The 2024 Macina Chacana is KTM's aluminium do-it-all trail eMTB, sitting below the more aggressive Kapoho and Prowler in the range. It pairs 130mm of FOX or RockShox fork travel with 125mm at the rear through KTM's Straight-Line-Link suspension, on a 29in Alloy 6061 frame with a relaxed 67 degree head angle, 74.5 degree effective seat angle and consistent 476mm chainstays across all three sizes. KTM pitch it as a comfortable touring trail bike rather than an enduro weapon, and the upright-leaning geometry and Schwalbe Johnny Watts tyres reflect that brief.
Power comes from the Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 4 motor at 85Nm, fed by a 750Wh PowerTube on the 791 and 792 and a lighter 500Wh pack on the 591, all on the Bosch Smart System with eBike Flow connectivity and easy battery removal via KTM's Power Tube Top Loader. The Kiox 300 display features on the 791 and 792, while the 591 makes do with the LED Remote.
Value steps up cleanly through the line. The 591 is the budget entry on a Suntour fork, Shimano Deore 10-speed and a rigid seatpost. The 792 adds a RockShox 35 fork, a dropper and a mostly 12-speed Shimano mix, and the flagship 791 brings FOX 34 and Float DPS suspension with a near-full Shimano XT groupset. Every trim is rated by KTM as ready for the optional LFC (Light-Fender-Carrier) commuting upgrade.
This generation is now discontinued. It was superseded by the 2025 Macina Chacana, which moved the platform to longer 150mm travel, and then the 2026 line that added Shimano CUES Di2 trims. Buyers should treat the 2024 bike as a comfort-orientated, lighter-travel trail eMTB rather than a like-for-like match to the newer, more capable 150mm versions.
What the numbers mean on the trail
Computed from this bike's geometry, spec and build kit — reach, wheelbase, chainstay, head and seat angles, travel, motor, weight and the fork/tyre/brake spec — and worked out per size, because a fixed chainstay can make an S and an XL feel very different.
A fair bit of pop, but happiest on flowing trail rather than trials moves.
Rear-long with a planted front in L (FC:RC 1.55) — easy to weight the front and quick to turn, though it can feel light at the back at real speed.
Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 4 and a steep 74.5° seat angle keep the weight planted over the front — a proper winch. 600W of peak power and 85Nm of torque — a strong full-power motor.
No single standout trait — a balanced, versatile bike.
The numbers are well balanced for its category.
