Ibis Oso HD 2026
EMTB Forums verdict

The Ibis Oso HD is the enduro-focused, high-travel member of the reworked 2026 Oso family, sitting above the trail-oriented Oso TR and the Oso S. It runs 180mm up front and 165mm out back on a carbon dw-link chassis with V5 kinematics, and Ibis flags the rear end as coil-friendly.

Power comes from Bosch's Performance Line CX Gen 5 motor with up to 120Nm of torque and a 600 per cent assistance multiplier, fed by a 600Wh internal battery. Riders chasing longer days can bolt on the optional 250Wh PowerMore range extender for 850Wh total, and a Bosch System Controller is fitted as standard.

Adjustability is a core theme: bolt-on dropouts and brake mounts let you tune chainstay length and switch between mixed and full 29in wheels across the range. The bikes ship MX in SM to XM and full 29in in LG and XL, and Ibis has added an Extra-Medium size in the middle of the range for a more precise fit.

The verified build pairs a Fox Factory 38 Grip X2 fork and Float X2 shock with SRAM Maven Silver brakes on 220mm rotors and a SRAM Eagle 90 Transmission drivetrain, priced at 8,999 US dollars ex-works.

“Photoshop is certainly possible, but the only bikes I know with a high swingarm like that (Siryon and Wolf Ridge) have a very different shape.”
