EMTB Forums verdict

The GasGas G Enduro is the brand's aluminium 29er enduro e-bike, built around a Yamaha PW-X motor and a 720Wh Simplo battery (630Wh on the entry build) with 170mm up front and 160mm at the rear.

Three builds are offered. The 1.0 is the budget option, and notably uses a different, slightly steeper frame setup with a coil RockShox 35 fork, 160mm front travel, a smaller 630Wh battery and the 80Nm Yamaha PW-X2 motor, paired with a Shimano Deore 1x10 drivetrain and Formula Cura 4 brakes. The 2.0 steps up to a 170mm RockShox Domain air fork, 720Wh battery and 85Nm PW-X3, keeping the Deore 1x10 kit but moving to Tektro four-piston brakes. The 3.0 is the flagship, with a FOX Float 38 Factory fork and Float X Factory shock, SRAM GX Eagle 1x12, SRAM Code R brakes and NEWMEN wheels on Schwalbe Hans Dampf tyres.

The 2.0 and 3.0 share a properly slack 64-degree head angle and a low 353mm bottom bracket, giving them a stable, descent-focused character, while the 1.0's separate geometry is taller and a touch steeper at 66 to 68 degrees. Reach figures are conservative by current standards, running 445mm to 485mm across S to L on the 2.0/3.0 frame.

“1300mm wheelbase does look long for the given reach number in size large (485mm) and head angle. According to the geo chart the front centre *should* be 860mm in large, with the 440mm chainstay. It could be a fair bit slacker than in…”
