ECA 2024
How current the bike is — newer chassis, motor and battery score higher. 10 = brand-new, 0 = legacy.

The GasGas ECA 2 is the middle rung of GasGas's aluminium enduro e-bike range. In the US line-up it sits between the cheaper ECA 1 (Yamaha PW-S2 75 Nm motor, RockShox Deluxe Select shock) and the Fox Factory-suspended ECA 3, sharing the same alloy 6061 frame, 170mm front / 160mm rear travel, full 29in wheels and the Yamaha PW-X3 motor (85 Nm) drawing on a 720 Wh Simplo battery. In the UK catalogue this same build (Domain R fork, Super Deluxe Select shock, PW-X3) is sold as the ECA 1 at GBP 4,199, with the Fox-equipped model labelled ECA 3.
For the money the ECA 2 leans on dependable rather than flashy parts: a RockShox Domain R fork and Super Deluxe Select shock, SRAM DB8 four-piston brakes on 200mm rotors front and rear, and a Shimano Deore 10-speed drivetrain with an 11-43 cassette. It is a workhorse spec aimed at bike-park laps and rough descents rather than weight saving, reflected in the 25.5 kg claimed weight.
Geometry is firmly in enduro territory: a slack 64 degree head angle, 72 degree seat angle, 460mm chainstays across all sizes and reach growing from 445mm (S) to 485mm (L). The long wheelbase, up to 1285mm, points to stability on steep, fast terrain over low-speed agility.
The ECA 2 is a 2024 model and is no longer a current-year offering, with GasGas having since reshuffled the ECA range.
