Devinci E-Troy Lite 2024
EMTB Forums verdict

The 2024 E-Troy Lite is Devinci's made-in-Canada lightweight take on its E-Troy platform: an aluminium, mixed-wheel trail bike running 150 mm of Split Pivot rear travel and a 160 mm fork. Where the standard E-Troy uses Bosch's full-power CX, the Lite drops in the Performance Line SX (55 Nm, 600 W) with the slimline 400 Wh CompactTube battery, trading outright assistance for a sub-21 kg weight and a more natural, trail-bike feel.

Three builds were offered. The NX 12S (US$5,499) pairs a RockShox Yari fork and Deluxe Select shock with SRAM DB8 brakes and an NX mechanical drivetrain. The GX 12S (US$6,399) is the value sweet spot, stepping up to a Fox 36 Performance Elite fork, Float X shock, SRAM Code Bronze brakes (220/200 mm) and a GX mechanical drivetrain on RaceFace Aeffect wheels. The flagship GX AXS 12S (US$7,399) moves to RockShox Lyrik and Super Deluxe Ultimate suspension, Magura MT5 brakes and a wireless SRAM GX Eagle Transmission, dropping to a claimed 19.5 kg.

Geometry is aggressive for a lightweight assist bike: a slack 63.6 degree head angle, steep effective seat angles (around 77.5 to 77.9 degrees), short 438 mm chainstays across all sizes and 20 mm reach jumps from 441 mm (S) to 501 mm (XL). The result is a stable, planted ride that rewards speed, with a relatively low stack that keeps the front end weighted.

The E-Troy Lite is discontinued; Devinci has since reorganised its e-mountain range, leaving the SX-powered Lite as a one-generation lightweight option in the line-up.

“I bought my E-Troy Lite about a month ago and already have over 200 km on it. I got the GX transmission build, and my first upgrade before trying the Magura was to swap them out with Hayes dominion A4, because I did not trust the stock…”
