Slack 64° head angle, 170mm travel and a long 1290mm wheelbase — composed in the chunk, confident when it gets steep, and stable through fast corners.
E-Spartan 2023
How current the bike is — newer chassis, motor and battery score higher. 10 = brand-new, 0 = legacy.

The Devinci E-Spartan (2023, now discontinued) was the Canadian brand's full-power enduro eMTB, the e-equipped sibling of the analogue Spartan. It pairs 170mm of rear travel with a 180mm Fox 38 fork on a 29in wheelset, hung off an aluminium Optimum G04 (6061-T6) frame using Devinci's Split Pivot suspension layout. A slack 64.0 degree head angle and steepening seat tube angle (77.3 to 77.0 degrees across the range) mark it firmly as a descending-focused machine.
Power comes from a Shimano STEPS EP800 (EP8) drive unit rated at 250W and 85Nm, fed by a 725Wh BMZ battery in the downtube, with Boost, Trail, Eco and Walk modes via the EM800 computer. Devinci offered a single Deore 12S build at US$6,999: a Shimano Deore M6100 1x12 drivetrain, Shimano XT four-piston brakes on 203mm rotors, and Maxxis Minion DHF/DHRII tyres (DoubleDown rear). Claimed weight is 25.0kg for a medium.
Geometry runs S to XL with reach from 440mm to 505mm and a consistent 455mm chainstay and 354mm BB height across all sizes. As a discontinued model, spec is fixed at the 2023 build and there is no current owner-feedback data to draw on here, so the assessment above is grounded in published figures only.
What the numbers mean on the trail
Computed from this bike's geometry, spec and build kit — reach, wheelbase, chainstay, head and seat angles, travel, motor, weight and the fork/tyre/brake spec — and worked out per size, because a fixed chainstay can make an S and an XL feel very different.
More planted than poppy — better on steep terrain than tight, fiddly singletrack.
Balanced front-to-rear in L (FC:RC 1.84) — weight sits evenly between the wheels.
Climbs well — a 77.1° seat keeps the front planted. 500W of peak power and 85Nm of torque — a strong full-power motor.
Rewards commitment; it should feel calmer as the speed rises.
Brilliant on fast, rough, steep terrain; less fun on tight, mellow trails.
