The Cotic Rocket is the brand's first e-bike and is billed as the world's first high performance steel eMTB, handbuilt in the UK from a Reynolds 853 and motorsport-grade T45 steel front triangle with a 6082-T6 aluminium swingarm. It runs 150mm of Rocklink rear travel with a dedicated mixed wheel (29 front / 27.5 rear) layout, and a modular fork setup means the same frame covers Trail (150mm fork, 64.5 degree head angle) or Enduro (160mm fork, 64 degree head angle).
The defining choice is the external down-tube battery: a hot-swap Shimano pack available in 418, 504 or 630Wh, paired with the full-power Shimano EP801 motor (85Nm, up to 600W). Cotic uses the external battery to keep the down tube slim for steel ride feel and to let riders trade range against weight, with complete bikes shipping on the 504Wh pack and Cotic quoting a prototype at around 21.5kg with the lighter 418Wh battery.
It sells direct as a frameset from 6,099 GBP or as complete builds: Trail / Bronze at 7,599 GBP (RockShox Revelation, Magura MT5, Shimano Cues Linkglide 1x11, Halo wheels), Trail and Enduro / Gold at 8,899 GBP (Lyrik or Zeb Ultimate, Shimano XT, Hope Fortus wheels, Magura MT7 Pro), and Trail and Enduro / Platinum at 11,449 GBP (Fox Factory 36 or 38, XTR Di2 wireless, Hope Tech4 brakes and carbon cockpit, Reserve wheels). The frame uses Cotic's Longshot geometry with a short 35mm stem and C1 to C5 sizing, and was named Singletrack World's eMTB of the Year 2025.
