The Neuron:ONfly was Canyon's first lightweight e-MTB and the mid-power sibling to the full-power Neuron:ON CF. It pairs a 140 mm carbon trail chassis with the compact Bosch Performance Line SX motor (55 Nm, 600 W peak) and a downtube-integrated 400 Wh CompactTube battery, with an optional PowerMore 250 Wh range extender. The geometry is moderate trail rather than aggressive enduro: a 64.5 degree head angle, 76.5 degree seat angle, 450 mm chainstays across all five sizes and reach from 410 mm (XS) to 510 mm (XL), with the XS dropping to 130 mm travel and a narrower bar.
The four-trim range climbs steeply on value. The CF 7 (£4,499) runs a RockShox Pike, Shimano Deore 12-speed and SRAM Code R brakes at a claimed 20.3 kg. The CF 8 (£5,199) is the sensible mid-spec with a Fox 34 Performance, Shimano XT four-piston brakes and a 19.6 kg claimed weight. The CF 9 (£6,499) moves to a Pike Ultimate, SRAM GX Eagle AXS Transmission and DT Swiss HX1700 wheels. The CF LTD (£7,449) tops out with a Fox 34 Factory, SRAM XX Eagle AXS, Code Ultimate brakes and Reynolds carbon wheels for a claimed 19.1 kg.
All trims share the same carbon frame, Bosch SX motor, 400 Wh battery, Schwalbe Hans Dampf front / Nobby Nic rear tyres and 200 mm rotors, so the price difference is suspension, drivetrain, brakes and wheels rather than capability. The CF 8 stands out as the value pick.
This is a discontinued 2024 model. Canyon has since continued the Neuron:ONfly line with updated Bosch SX builds, so later model-year versions supersede it, but the 2024 platform, motor and geometry described here are the launch configuration.
