Bulls Vuca EVO AM 2024
EMTB Forums verdict

The Bulls Vuca EVO AM was the brand's 2024 all-mountain flagship, built around the then-novel Pinion MGU E1.12: a single unit combining an 85 Nm mid-motor with a sealed 12-speed gearbox, driving a maintenance-light Gates CDX belt rather than a chain and derailleur. A carbon main frame with an alloy 4-link swingarm carries 150 mm of travel front and rear on 29in wheels, fed by a fully integrated 720 Wh FIT UltraCore battery (a 960 Wh pack was an order option).

Two builds were sold. The AM 1 (€7,499) ran a Bulls Lytro 36 fork, SR Suntour Edge shock and Shimano four-piston M6120 brakes. The AM 2 (€8,499) is the one to have if budget allows, stepping up to a Fox 38 Float Factory fork, Fox Float X Factory shock, Shimano XT M8120 brakes with a larger 220 mm front rotor and Ergon finishing kit, for a claimed 25 kg in size L. Both share the same frame, geometry, Pinion drivetrain and Maxxis Minion DHF/DHR2 tyres.

Geometry is moderate rather than aggressive: a 66 degree head angle, 75 degree effective seat angle and reach growing from 442 mm (S) to 484 mm (XL), with a consistent 455 mm chainstay across all four sizes. That points to a versatile tourer-trail character rather than an outright enduro weapon.

This 2024 model is now discontinued; Bulls has continued the Vuca EVO AM line on the Pinion MGU platform in later model years.
