A solid all-round descender (66° head angle, 150mm) — capable in the rough and steep without being an all-out bruiser.
Copperhead EVO AM 2022
How current the bike is — newer chassis, motor and battery score higher. 10 = brand-new, 0 = legacy.

The Bulls Copperhead EVO AM is a discontinued 2022 all-mountain e-MTB and, despite carrying the Copperhead name that Bulls otherwise uses for its hardtails, it is genuinely full suspension. A four-bar rear linkage with an SR Suntour air shock delivers 150 mm of travel front and rear, driven by Bosch's Smart System Performance Line CX motor (85 Nm) and a removable Bosch PowerTube battery, 400 Wh on the base AM 1 and 750 Wh on every '750' version. It runs a mullet wheel layout, 29 in front and 27.5 in rear, on all trims.
The range is value engineering on a shared 6061 alloy chassis. The base AM 1 (EUR3,799) keeps costs down with a 10-speed Shimano Deore drivetrain, Tektro brakes, a Bulls Lytro 34 air fork and a rigid post; the AM 1 750 adds the bigger 750 Wh battery; the AM 2 750 (EUR4,599) steps up to 11-speed Deore, Shimano brakes, a Limotec dropper and Schwalbe Nobby Nic tyres; and the flagship AM 3 750 (EUR5,099) gets a 12-speed Deore XT mech, the higher-end Bulls Lytro 35 Supreme fork, an SR Suntour Edge shock, four-piston brakes and aggressive Schwalbe Magic Mary / Hans Dampf Super Gravity tyres. A US-market AM 4 750 topped the line with an SR Suntour Durolux 36 fork and a Shimano XTR rear derailleur.
Geometry is moderate all-mountain for its era: a 66 degree head angle, 74 degree seat angle and 445 mm chainstays at every size, with reach running from 419 mm on the smallest 41 cm frame to 484 mm on the 54 cm. Comfort-oriented touches such as the ergonomic saddle and upright cockpit give it a touring lean, but the knobby MTB tyres, dropper post (on the 750 trims) and slack front end keep it firmly in trail territory.
Bulls discontinued the original Copperhead EVO AM after this generation. The Copperhead EVO AM badge later returned on a redesigned 29 in, Bosch CX Gen 5 platform for 2025 and 2026; the closest in-period all-mountain alternative in the Bulls catalogue was the Sonic EVO AM range.
What the numbers mean on the trail
Computed from this bike's geometry, spec and build kit — reach, wheelbase, chainstay, head and seat angles, travel, motor, weight and the fork/tyre/brake spec — and worked out per size, because a fixed chainstay can make an S and an XL feel very different.
More planted than poppy — better on steep terrain than tight, fiddly singletrack.
Rear-long with a planted front in L (FC:RC 1.75) — easy to weight the front and quick to turn, though it can feel light at the back at real speed.
Climbs well — a 74° seat keeps the front planted. 600W of peak power and 85Nm of torque — a strong full-power motor.
No single standout trait — a balanced, versatile bike.
Brilliant on fast, rough, steep terrain; less fun on tight, mellow trails.
