XTR and XT Shimano

Anyone run an XT 12 speed casette with an XTR setup? Because finding a spare XTR 10-51t casette has turned out to be impossible. I was going to grab a XT casette as a spare but dont want to damage anything. Also ANYONE found a solid replacement for 10-51t XTR casette.

There's no reason I'm aware of that an XT 12 speed cassette shouldn't work on an XTR 12 speed "drivetrain".

The XT cassette is going to be your best bet for a "solid replacement" for 10-51 XTR.

Garbaruk has been on my radar as a possible alternative. I like their chainrings but never tried their cassettes.

Any Shimano 12 speed microspline cassette will work fine with your XTR 12 speed mech and shifter.

The difference between the Shimano 12 speed cassettes is in the sprocket material (and therefore weight), not the shifting/compatibility.

• XTR = 3 aluminum, 4 steel, 5 titanium
• XT = 2 aluminum, 10 steel
• SLX = 1 aluminum, 11 steel
• Deore = all steel
