Since your best 20+ years are ahead of you, you may want something that doesn’t feel like a heavy motor cycle. There are many mid-drive light eMTB that are suitable for fire roads, tame trails, and even pavement, with the right tires.Yep very heavy! Have roll on ramp for the pick up but really would like a light weight but powerful bike!
That's your problem right there....I wonder if I should start a new thread looking for a relatively lightweight but powerful hardtail e-bike. That steep hill requires the granny gear now and after a long ride is a walk up.
I think I have to agree! While I had no intention of riding it like a moped, I would probably fall over lifting it ip on a bike rack. I think 50-60 lbs is my weight limit. Guess I need to keep searching.@Cybersnow You could kill yourself on that thing. I have lost count of the number of times I have had an involuntary dismount and the bloody bike landed on top of me! OUCH! There are loads of VERY mich lighter emtbs that will give you all the torque you need.
