Winter bike riding

Last month I decided I will visit Canada. That time there will winter season. But I am too much excited because I made a plan I will make a bicycle tour in Golden Triangle, Canadian Rockies. But I am afraid because the winter is falling down there. I never ride bikes in winter so I have no experience of how to properly ride bikes in winter. So I really need someone's help.

If ground is very icy then get spiked tires. Otherwise just proper clothing is all you need.
