It’s great on both but thats also pretty dependent on how you build it out. I built mine up from the RS180 frameset and it’s honestly a stupid-expensive build that is focused on a best of everything approach. The off-the-shelf builds are good and will not treat you wrong. I honestly can’t ride the bike to its full potential because its just that good. Very poised on the climb and a dream on the downhill. I don’t even ride my other bikes now.

I have the RS 180. Mine is the largest size (RH-4) which came as a 29'er that was great out of the box. My local riding is more tight, techy trails that I like to ride as fast as possible. I changed mine to a mullet and installed a slightly smaller (625w watt) battery. Result was a little reduced weight and more agility. It's even better now (for my trails, terrain and riding style). I'd say that it's good going up tight twisty stuff but really shines when moving fast over rough stuff.

Hey Arethustra, great looking bike. Great build. I have a RS180 (complete - great bike) I am interested in the skid plate you have - how is the protection? Any rattle? Would you recommend? Can you share where you bought it? Thank you

Protection is awesome; the plate is formed to the frame and lined with an impact foam…it’s tight with no rattle and the composite is almost 1/4 in thick - have put a few scratches and scrapes on it with no issue and have slammed it into a log on occasion when I had a rider error trying to clear a log and it just shrugged it off. Don’t know if anyone else is making something now but it’s definitely the only one I found and it has to be ordered off menu as it was originally a one-off for a long time customer of the guy who owns Amygos.

I bought two thinking I’d surely break it but it’s laughed at all my attempts thus far.
