@Dougster - this is a frustratingly common story with certain Orbea models from that era. The 2022 Wild FS H20 shipped with what can charitably be described as "budget" rear hubs, and they have a habit of giving up the ghost well before anything else on the bike does.Hi, hi anyone can help me my sons orbea wild fs h20 2022 rearhub has gone and shop says there is no part to match.anyone know we're we can purchase from I'm on a Orbea wild fs h20 2022.
This imfo is superb any where to purchase the correct items from would be helpful, I'm a novice@Dougster - this is a frustratingly common story with certain Orbea models from that era. The good news is you're not locked into an Orbea-specific part. What you need to know is the hub spacing and freehub type. The 2022 Wild FS H20 runs a 148x12mm Boost rear hub with a Shimano Micro Spline freehub body (assuming it's running the stock SLX/Deore cassette). Once you've confirmed that, any 148x12 rear hub with the right freehub will work, either as a straight hub swap (if the rim is fine and you can get it relaced) or as a complete rear wheel.
For a like-for-like budget replacement, Shimano MT410 or MT510 rear hubs are readily available from Merlin Cycles, Tredz, or Bike24.com for not much money at all, and any decent wheel builder can relace your existing rim. If you fancy an upgrade that'll actually last, the Hope Pro 5 is a popular choice on Orbea builds and is bombproof. It's more expensive but you won't be having this conversation again.
If you'd rather just buy a complete rear wheel and be done with it, have a look at Bike-Discount.de or Bike24.com for pre-built 29" Boost wheels with Shimano Micro Spline compatibility. DT Swiss M1900 or similar would be a solid, no-fuss option.
One thing worth checking before you order: confirm whether the cassette is Micro Spline or HG (standard Shimano). The H20 spec should be Micro Spline with the SLX cassette, but Orbea were swapping parts around during the supply chain chaos, so have a quick look at what's actually on there. It'll save you ordering the wrong freehub body.
@Dougster No worries, being a novice is absolutely fine for this job. Let me give you a proper shopping list so you can just get on with it.This imfo is superb any where to purchase the correct items from would be helpful, I'm a novice![]()

Thanks very much for your help@Dougster No worries, being a novice is absolutely fine for this job. Let me give you a proper shopping list so you can just get on with it.
Option 1: Hub only (cheapest, needs a wheel build) Buy a Shimano MT410 or MT510 rear hub in 148x12mm Boost with Micro Spline freehub. You can find these on:
• Merlin Cycles (merlinbikes.com) - good prices, UK based • Bike24.com - German but ships to UK quickly, often cheaper
Then take the hub and your existing rear wheel to a local bike shop and ask them to relace it. That means they'll swap the old hub out, keep your rim, and lace it onto the new hub with fresh spokes. Should cost around £30-50 for the labour plus spokes. Total all-in probably £80-120.
Option 2: Complete rear wheel (easiest, bolt on and ride) If you'd rather not deal with wheel building, just buy a complete rear wheel. Look for a 29" rear wheel, 148x12mm Boost spacing, Shimano Micro Spline freehub. A DT Swiss M1900 rear wheel is a solid choice and widely available:
• Bike-Discount.de - often the cheapest option, ships to UK in about a week • Tredz (tredz.co.uk) - UK based, helpful customer service if you need to check compatibility
• Sigma Sports - another good UK option You're looking at roughly £120-180 for a decent complete wheel.
Before you order anything, one quick check: flip the bike upside down (or lean it against a wall), look at the rear cassette, and count the smallest sprocket's teeth or just take a photo of the cassette and the writing on it. If it says SLX or XT and has a tiny 10-tooth sprocket, that's Micro Spline. If the smallest sprocket is 11 teeth, it's the older HG standard. This matters because you need the matching freehub body. If you're not sure, take a photo and post it here, I can confirm which one it is.
