How many miles on old one before replacement? I would go Shimano XT

Just had a quick browse, I can get a decent discount on an XT at the moment ??

anyone else tried other options ?

Plus 1 on the XT 12 spd chain. I managed 2000km using one on my Altitude when it was still an 11spd - it was beyond worn out by the end but never broke. You'll notice on the box they advertise e-bikes as well as gravel, mtb etc.
