What bike rack are you using to transport the Turbo Levo?

I have a Thule HangOn 3 Tilt... that seems to do the job, but the rubber frame holders are not adequate for the Levo.
Specs say max load 45kg and weight per bike 15Kg, I am assuming I can carry 2 bikes now...
any thoughts?

I have a similar towball clamp rack I use for short trips with just one bike , but prefer a towball mounted type that supports the wheels if going for full recomended load or multiple bikes .
My way of thinking is 2 ebikes on those arms is full load but the leverage from the heavy ebike on the outside is going to be quite high . Its also difficult to get modern sloping mtb frames to hang evenly on frame support arms to distribute load evenly .

Roofbox.co.uk do a ‘fake’ crossbar fitting for just that issue - but of course everything is bigger/wider/heavier with these bikes ?

The Thule T2 has served us well over the years and supports two Levos. Here's a pic with the T2 mounted directly into the van receiver:

Thule Levos.jpg

We recently added a Wilco Swing Hitch mount for easier access to the back of the van. Using this angles the T2 up a bit, but it works fine and supports the Levos/Vados as well. The pic below shows our nonE Stumpies on the T2 and the Levos and Vados on a Yakima Rack-n-Roll trailer.

I tried the Inno INA 392, bought from roofbox.co.uk (always great)
Weight limit is 23kg (take battery out) and it comes with all the different through-axle sizes.
It locks the forks in for security.

Now, my vehicles are not....normal ?....so ignore the specific examples here and look at the rack on a normal roof rack....

I figured that a fork fitting system would be better - lowers the bike, shortens the huge length, is more rigid than the wheel straps and the systems that grip the down tube struggle with the huge Levo frame thickness...

Now in my specific case, it doesn’t work - simply because the front fixing point is at the end of the Ali rack means that I can’t centralise it on my ‘roof/rollbar’ bars - but I’ll probably keep the INA 392 so I can use it on normal systems. Carrying the Levo on the Caterham may be a no-go!

The van is easier - the Fiamma system takes the weight, and although the bike hangs off the ends a bit, by using extra fittings I can support it in various places.

Pictures explain it all better - as I said - FOR ILLUSTRATION PURPOSES ONLY - IM NOT GOING TO USE THIS METHOD ON THE CATERHAM ??

I’ll probably investigate a basic tow bar system, although the ball on my van is pretty old! Need to investigate fitting etc.

I work on the assumption that the rating is never the upper tested limit.

I don’t want a tow bar on the car. Battery is 2.7kg so removed you’re about 20kg right?
I bought my Levo from Rutland Cycles - they warned against roof carrying, esp with battery removed, as all wires exposed. I've ended up putting mine in the boot of Mazda CX-5- easier with a boot-liner that can slide a bit.

Thule Euroride works also well after some modifications so that it carries the longer wheelbase of Levo better. I used plastic sewage pipe, angle grinder and some screws. I got the rack itself from a discount (199 eur) so I couldn’t justify the cost of the other racks.

The Thule T2 Pro XT is what I am using and zero complaints. I have transported both my Cube Reaction Hybrid Pro 500 and my Levo without any worry...
