When I removed the valve stems as part of new tires / wheel servicing, a surprising amount of water came out of the cavity between the rim tape and where the spokes come out (does it have a name?) I don't know if it's from sealant that got passed the valve stem o-ring, or if it's rinse water from bike washes. What I do know is that there was a pretty big puddle under each of the wheels yesterday, and I can get more out today if I shake the wheels.
It's clear, not milky, so I think it's water from bike washes.
Do I need to add an o-ring under the valve stem retaining nut, or just ignore the water accumulation?
Btw, I always use water velocity from the hose to spin the wheels when I rinse them.
