Just a few recents pics of my trek rail 5, I started out with a powerfly 4 which was literally just something to get out in the open with the family on, tables slightly turned when I started to put the bike through a little bit more of it’s paces and it failed miserably, after numerous back an forth visits to my local retailer I was given the option to upgrade to another bike, a little bit more interested I ended up going full sus an chose the rail 5.. I have done a few subtle changes and looking at upgrading the brakes pretty soon. I am no means a dedicated hardcore MTB thrill chasing machine but I am thoroughly enjoying myself getting out every weekend in the elements! ??

Had my Rail 5 now for a couple of months. Absolutely love it. I originally ordered the 7 but my LBS couldn't get hold of it for a few months. Glad I downgraded and saved a bit of money. I preferred the matt black / olive but loved the spec of the 7.

Had the bike fully Shack Wrapped before I picked it up from LBS.

I've changed.

The dropper lever to One Up Components V2. Makes it feel like a new seat.

Brakes have been changed to the Shimano MT520 4 Pots with 501 levers with Ice Tech Rotors.

Shifter and derailleur changed to GX. Absolutely different ballgame. Rock solid shifting. The SX was way to plastically for me.

Grips - DMR Death grips

Pedals - HT Components P03A - Composite.
