First set of upgrades done.

replaced fork with a new lyrik. Cost £450 selling 35 for £250 so £200 upgrade

replaced tyres with slightly used eddy current. cost £45 selling nobby nic for £25 so £20 upgrade.

ordered some Shimano m6120 brakes. So will be swapping brakes when they arrive. The tektro brakes are a bit under powered.

I road a hire Trek Rail 9 today with Shimano brakes.......they were on or off and had zero modulation, caused me to washout the front wheel and take a very nasty fall

If you followed my approach of buying the base model and upgrading it, you could then fit the brakes you like. Buy the bike for the frame, the rest you can change according to your preferences.

Did anyone manage to get a 625 battery version, i was told only the 500 was available this year so will upgrade later

Team cycles have a medium still in stock. They did have a large as well but that has now gone

Such a nice colour. I'm torn between this and the Olive Green. With planned sparkly orange Hope upgrades from the off, I can't decide which colour would match best with the orange.

Purple and Orange is the right mix :)
See Paletton - The Color Scheme Designer for instance to play with different 'matching' (according to designer folks) colors.
