Trek Powerfly LT rear shock upgrade

Hi Guys, just ordered the new 2019 powerfully FS 7 model and will be upgrading the fork to the Grip 2 Fox 36 160mm. My question is have any of you upgraded the rear shock from the rockshox to a Fox DPX2, X2 or DHX2. Fox can tune the shock so that is no dramas, but there is some concern that the air can will be too wide and foul the frame. Just wanting to see if anyone has done it before.

Same here. I don't know if we can find a DPX2 or Superdeluxe which fits on this frame. Size is a bit weird,don't know if it's a metric size 205x57,5
Only fin it in metric size 205x60, I suppose shortening the stroke,could be fine,200x57 standard size,don't think it works well
 
205 x 60 will give you a bit more travel so may cause the tyre to hit the seat tube on full compression bot won't affect the geometry.
200 x 57 will drop the back end, lowering the BB and slackening the head angle.
 
Ok,thanks. But running 200x57 we lose a bit of travel,because stock shock is 57,5. But I suppose no danger hitting the frame with the wheel
 
I would say that going with a 5mm shorter shock can end up lowering your rear end 10-12 mm depending on the leverage ratio of your rear suspension. Deflate your rear shock and compress the suspension and you can easily judge if there is space for a bit more travel. 2.5 mm will only give you 5-7 mm more so it is not a lot. I would go for that if possible.
