So i just bought my first E-MTB and was wondering where people around perth ride?
I know of Manning park, Kalamunda and Goat farm.
I'm also trying to find some trails that are reasonably accessible via train.
But would also like to know just nice places to ride in general, not necessarily bush trails!

Also, some good news:

State Government has announced a host of initiatives as part of the COVID recovery plan. It is big news for bike riding and in particular mountain biking. Some of the key projects include:
- $12.78 million to create a trails town in the Great Southern;
- $2.24 million to improve walk and cycle trails in the Great Southern;
- $2.02 million for new and upgraded trails at the Goat Farm; Kalamunda and Beelu National Park;
- $1.1 million to complete the renewal and extension of shared paths in Point Peron
- $40k for trail planning in Pemberton
- $350,000 to commence the rebuild of the Pines trails in Margaret River
- $1.19m to upgrades on the Bibbulmun and Munda Biddi trails in the Great Southern; South West and Peel regions.
Full project details: WA Recovery Plan Initiatives

A few more Perth (WA) areas off the top of my head:

  • Lake Leschenaultia
  • Forsyths Mill
  • Herdsman Lake
  • Kalamunda to Pickering Brook
  • Munda Biddi - Mundaring to Pickering Brook and Carinyah
  • Helena Valley
  • Yaberoo Budjara Heritage Trail
  • Railway Reserves Heritage Trail and John Forrest NP
  • Kep Track - Chidlow to Lake Leschenaultia and towards Northam
  • Zig Zag in Kalamunda
Of those, perhaps Yaberoo Budjara and RRHT are not too far from a train line.

Langford Park in Jarrahdale is a bit further afield, and then there's Dwellingup.
