Does anyone have any experience of the Thule Outway Platform rear mounted carrier?
Max weight is 30kg (good)
Max weight PER BIKE 15kg (bad)
I'm looking for a way to move my Orbea Rise H which is a shade over 20kg.
I reckon I can get it within the 20kg limit on the standard Thule roof carriers but I REALLY dont like them. Even my hardtail wobbles around too much for my liking and I reckon the Rise is 8kg heavier.
Looked at the fork mount roof carriers but the weight limit drops to 18kg which isn't great.
Tow bar is out of the question. It's a lease car due to go back in 6 months so the expense just doesn't make sense.
I can fit it in the back of the car easily enough with the seats down but I now have a tiny human to transport as well so dropping the rear seats isn't really an option.
