Does this one allow you to change the region eg EU to US or will that be extra like the other apps?

I couldn't find the actual app, only a demo that doesn't do anything at all. It doesn't even have screen shot as shown in the description

I purchased the app but couldn't get it to work. I get a "bluetooth services" error. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note8 (N950F)

You can use a Link to the App from the first post of this thread

Follow the advise when you Push connect and give to the app the rights for localisation.

App connected fine and I've adjusted the power settings to my liking. That in itself has saved me buying a Shimano interface. Now I'm just waiting for a reply on how I pay the license fee so I can set my bike to 4.6.1 software to US region.

I took the plunge and bought the 30 Euro license.

It all worked as it should for me. US limit set in FW 4.6.1 and a quick ride round the block to verify all in about 30 mins. Many thanks Vadll. I've now uninstalled the official Shimano app to make sure I don't upgrade my motor firmware any further.

If you are having trouble connecting to the bike make sure you have the bike turned off, fire up the app and hit connect, the app will show no-ebike. NOW turn on the bike and it will hopefully show up on the app.

EMax App works perfectly, absolutely brilliant, can change the Assist and Torque levels for all 3 levels via bluetooth, it's so easy and has almost double my range, all for £1.99

Emax is fine if you've got an iPhone. I don't know how much they charge for the full license to allow region and wheel size changes.

That's the same with this Android app. £1.49 gets you assist and torque level adjustment. 30 Euro gets you the speed limit adjustment depending on your firmware.

Hi folks, I bought the app and installed it last Friday. I paid the 30 Euro additional cost to get the ability to change to the US region. It all works perfectly. I'm really pleased with it. I wasn't fussed about doing a big change to the max speed but simply having another 3 mph makes a real difference. I used to get really frustrated with the motor assistance cutting in and out and just raising it a few mph has made a big real world change. I found the "anonymous Russian developer" to be really helpful when I emailed him too.
Linking to the bike took me a couple of attempts but now that I understand it I can connect everytime. (open app to connect screen, press start on the motor and as soon as it beeps/shows on the display click the app to pair).
Earlier last week I tried the E-max and I couldn't get it to pair. Given that I have just saved myself 100 Euro I'm pretty pleased.

How did you pay for the licence?

Just tried the app and it works perfectly, do you pay for the licence via PayPal?

Not exactly what I said but it’s possible I’ve unnecessarily maligned @vadII. Apologies.

Bear in mind I don’t trust Google or Android either so that might give context. Now looking for a spare Android from friends to make a plan with. ?
